3,5-Dinitrobenzoic Acid (CAS 99-34-3) is an important intermediate for organic synthesis, in the pharmaceutical industry for the synthesis sulfachrysoidine and for the detection of ampicillin. 3,5-Dinitrobenzoic Acid is used in fluorometric analysis of creatinine (which is a determinant of kidney function). Also used as a reagent in the synthesis of several organic compounds including that of rhodanine derivatives that act as aldose reductase inhibitors. 3,5-Dinitrobenzoic Acid is used as starting material  in pharmaceuticals production (radiopaque drug and vitamin D2), corrosion inhibitors production, production of dyes, and as reagent in analytical chemistry. 3,5-Dinitrobenzoic Acid is an organic chemical that is an important corrosion inhibitor and is also used in photography. This aromatic compound is used by chemists to identify alcohol components in esters and in the fluorometric analysis of creatinine.
